Gabrielle Papillon : Go Into the Night

In 2012, New-Brunswick artist Gabrielle Papillon released her first official album, “Little Bug”, presenting alternative folk music, a cross of Dan Mangan’s neo-folk and the writings of Aimee Mann.

While in Toronto, she performs her lovely folk song, “Go Into the Night”, for this BRBR session. In 2001, the singer-songwriter released her very first album, “Songs for a Rainy Day”, before taking a break to finish her bachelor’s degree and masters’ in history and English literature. She returns eight years later, in January 2010, with “The Wanderer”. In October 2011, Papillon releases “The Currency of Poetry”, an album that was acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. “Little Bug”, for its part, is nominated in 2013 for three Music Nova Scotia Awards (Folk Recording of the Year, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year and Female Artist Recording of the Year) and at the ECMA Awards as Folk Recording of the Year. Raise the volume and discover the talented Canadian artist that is Gabrielle Papillon!
