Tokyo Police Club :Tunnel Vision

Tokyo Police Club performs the song “Tunnel Vision”. Comprised of Josh Hook (guitar), Greg Alsop (drums), David Monks (voice et bass) and Graham Wright (claviers), Tokyo Police Club is an indie rock/alternative rock band from Newmarket, Ontario.

In 2006, then-unknown Canadian band Tokyo Police Club releases its first EP, “A Lesson in Crime”, which is well received by critics. American magazine Rolling Stone compares them to the Buzzcocks and to The Strokes. A year later, the singler’s, “Cheer It On”, video clip is rewarded at the MuchMusic Video Awards. Nowadays, almost ten years after the birth of this great hope of the new Canadian music, what remains of Tokyo Police Club? According to BRBR, Tokyo Police Club “remains a band who always flirted with success, but never got around to spending the night with it”. Their third album, the sequel to “Elephant Shell” (2008) and “Champ” (2010), makes it sound like the band is still looking for something to take off with, but only half-heartedly.”
