"Sans explosions, cette ville
n'existerait pas. Sans la
déflagration de météorites,
pas de mineurs, pas de Sudbury,
grand trou noir dans l'espace
du nord. Pas de secousses, pas
de secousses qui bouleversent
régulièrement mes rêves. Pas de
richesse, pas de communauté,
pas de traces empreintes dans
la roche à nu dans nos cours
et nos caves, et nos coeurs.
Et le lac demeure heureux, les
mouettes, niaiseuses et le ciel,
presque aussi épais que le
sous-sol de la terre dans
ce parc paisible où la
radio joue fort."

Un jeu de tag qui a duré des
étés entiers, qui durait des
éternités plus longues que les
guerres dont nous parlaient la
maîtresse, les journaux puis
les livres et les films. Et on
jouait à la guerre longtemps."
