De chaque côté d'une longue pièce éclairée par des néons blancs, des poules blanches sont enfermées dans des cages. Des machines permettent de récupérer automatiquement les oeufs qui viennent d'être pondus. Transportés sur des tapis roulants, les oeufs passent ensuite par différentes machines où ils sont retournés, arrosés, brossés, puis déposés dans des cartons d'emballage. Dans une autre pièce, quelques employés de l'usine récupèrent et ferment les cartons d'emballage. Plus tard, une personne prend un carton d'oeufs dans un rayon d'épicerie. Finalement, une personne casse un oeuf dans une poêle.
