Sister Micheline: A Devoted Life

A native of Espanola and eldest of eight children, Sister Micheline Lacasse received the call of God when she was in the fourth grade. She didn´t start the process to become a nun until 2010, however, when she decided to join the ranks of The Sisters of Charity of Ottawa, founded by Mother Élisabeth Bruyère in 1845. At the age of 31, Sister Micheline is the youngest in her congregation in Canada. While prayer remains central to her everyday life, Sister Micheline has chosen to help her community through the vocation of teaching. She is optimistic about the future of the Church, assured in her belief that kids, without knowing it, are moving closer to God through their spirituality and their involvement in humanitarian causes. An Éric Bachand production.
