Screaming Heads - Surreal Sculptures
The Screaming Heads are a group of over 84 huge reinforced-concrete sculptures scattered throughout Peter Camani´s grounds in Burk´s Falls, Ontario. Now a retired art teacher, Camani created the somewhat grotesque, eerie-looking monuments to remind the public of just how fragile our environment is. For the past 30 years, the artist has been working on transforming his 310-acre property, a former vacant lot, which serves as his home as well as his canvas. The site has become a popular tourist attraction in Burk´s Falls.
